Heterotopic Ossification Occuring in the Co-poisoning

Abstract
|
|
|
Heterotopic ossification and calcification has been discovered and described in particulary every tissues of the body except in the sphincters and other smooth muscles.
The cause and mechanism of heterotopic ossification is obscure. We have recently encountered one case of multiple periarticular, capsular and intramuscular ossification occurring in the CO-poisoning with loss of consciousness for about 3 weeks.
